Who is on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois?
The evening’s first fight will be a super lightweight contest between Lasha Guruli and James Francis. Immediately following this, fellow super lightweights Aadam Hamed and Ezequiel Gregores will also step into the ring.
The first heavyweight bout of the evening will feature Solomon Dacres going up against Vladyslav Sirenko. Dacres, who was knocked out within 80 seconds by David Adeleye last December, accepted a late invitation to appear on the undercard.
The evening’s first title fight will see Daniel Lapin defend his IBF Intercontinental and WBA Continental light heavyweight title against Lewis Edmondson. Following this, Lawrence Okolie will defend his WBC silver heavyweight title against Kevin Lerena.
This will be Okolie’s second bout as a heavyweight, having moved up from cruiserweight in December. Once these fights have concluded, Dubois and Usyk will make their entrances at Wembley.
What are the fight times for the Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois event?
The undercard is set to start at 5.40pm BST, with the DAZN broadcast commencing at 5.30pm. The ring walks for Dubois and Usyk are estimated to begin around 9.45pm, with the fight expected to start at 10pm.
However, these timings could be delayed if the earlier bouts on the undercard go the full distance. Usyk is the favourite under the Wembley arch, but Dubois has been underestimated before.
He was predicted to lose to Joshua last year, but instead delivered a memorable performance against the former world champion. Dubois, after his emphatic victory over Joshua and previous knockouts of Filip Hrgovic and Jarell Miller, is brimming with confidence about causing another stir in the boxing world.
He boldly declared: “As soon as the bell rings, my whole approach is to seek and destroy. I resurrected myself, I resurrected my career and now we are on a role. I feel unstoppable, I feel like I cannot be beaten right now. I am in the prime of my life and I am going to do whatever I have to do.”
