The annual Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour, featuring antique and classic cars, will visit St. Johns, Ithaca, Alma, St. Louis and Clare on Thursday, Aug. 21.
The tour began as the brainchild of auto industry enthusiast Craig Parrish, who worked to have Old U.S. 27 designated as a historic highway. As part of that, Parrish conceived a motor tour along the route from Coldwater to Cheboygan, similar to the Route 66 experience, where people could drive a piece of U.S. history.
