The versatile winger, who is also capable of playing through the middle, has joined La Dea in a permanent deal worth a reported €17m plus up to €4m in bonuses and add-ons.
The 23-year-old has reportedly put pen to paper on a four-year contract with an option for an additional 12 months, which could see him through to the summer of 2030.

He becomes Atalanta’s first new signing of the summer transfer window, and the first under Ivan Juric’s reign. Sulemana and Juric also worked together in the second half of the 2024-25 season at Southampton.

Sulemana has three goals from 48 Premier League appearances to his name during two stints in the English top flight with Southampton, on top of his experience in the Danish Super Lig with Nordsjaelland and in Ligue 1 with Rennes.
He becomes the second Sulemana in the Atalanta dressing room, following the arrival of namesake Ibrahim from Cagliari last summer.
“Atalanta BC is pleased to announce that it has acquired the sporting rights of Ghanaian footballer Kamaldeen Sulemana,” a statement on the club website read.
“The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family and the entire Nerazzurri Club extend a warm welcome to Kamaldeen, wishing him all the best in the Nerazzurri shirt – personally and with the team.”
