Emergency services are at the scene of a cordoned-off road in the St Ann’s area of Nottingham after a man was stabbed at around 12.50pm today and police have launched a murder enquiry
A man has died after being stabbed multiple times in a horror broad daylight attack with police launching a hunt for the attacker.
Emergency services rushed to the St Ann’s area of Nottingham after a man was knifed at around 12.50pm today (Monday, November 10). Abbotsford Drive, St Ann’s, has been cordoned off by Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service while they investigate the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward while saying that detectives are “working tirelessly” to find those responsible.

“Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a 20-year-old man has died following a stabbing in St Ann’s,” Nottinghamshire Police stated. “We were called to Abbotsford Drive at around 12.50pm today (10 November) after a man was found with stab wounds.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics at the scene, the man died shortly afterwards. We are urging any witnesses who haven’t already spoken to the police to please come forward. A team of detectives are working tirelessly to find those responsible.”
Chief Superintendent Nick Waldram said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family during this incredibly difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained officers.
“Detectives are already working to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident. They want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything which could assist our inquiries.
“No matter how insignificant you think your information may be, we want to hear from you. People in the area will understandably be concerned, but we currently believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.
“We know the impact this incident will have on the local community and therefore will be increasing patrols to provide reassurance while inquiries continue.”
A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.51pm on Monday 10 November to Abbotsford Drive in St Ann’s. We sent a paramedic in a solo response car, a doctor in a car, and two ambulances. All our resources have since left the scene.”
Forensic officers and firefighters appear to be focused on an alleyway next to the overpass on Abbotsford Drive. The cordon stretches from number 24 Abbotsford Drive to the other side of the bridge. Firefighters have been seen putting up a tarpaulin outside a property at the entrance of the alleyway to the underpass.
