WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Want to know what your school’s cell phone policy will be this fall for students? The state has a website you can check.
Governor Hochul implemented a bell-to-bell smartphone ban for students when classes start up next month.
Schools had to develop a policy telling Albany how phones would be kept out of classrooms and what a parent would have to do in order to get in touch with their student.
The deadline was August 1 for schools to get that plan into the state.
The state has compiled all that data and made it available to everyone.
