New Facebook page to 'keep Wilton high street thriving'

The “Wilton Indies” Facebook and Instagram page is dedicated to sharing news, special offers, discounts, events, and updates from the town’s small-business community.

This online initiative coincides with the return of the Late Night Shopping Fridays, a popular event leading up to Christmas.

The festivities are set to kick off on Friday, November 28, in tandem with the Wilton Christmas lights switch-on.

The event will run every Friday throughout December, offering a mix of festive entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a chance to enjoy the unique charm of Wilton’s independent shops.

The Wilton Indies organising group said: “Wilton has such a strong community of independents.

“By creating a shared online space and bringing our festive late-night events together, we hope to make it even easier for people to discover everything happening on their doorstep.”

The Wilton Indies Facebook page, which can be found at facebook.com/wiltonindies, will be a one-stop platform for shoppers to stay up to date with exclusive deals, giveaways, festive news updates, and special offers from participating businesses.

The initiative aims to encourage more people to shop locally, supporting the independent businesses that contribute to Wilton’s unique character.

The organisers expressed their appreciation for the support they have already received from the community.

They said: “Every purchase, every visit, every follow means more than you know.

“It keeps our high street thriving.”

The rejuvenated Wilton Indies page, supported by businesses such as Happybara, Lucky Leads, The Courtyard Marketplace, Crafty Cup, Piccolo Property, Anita Joy Hairdressing, Annie’s Wool Shop, and Sante et Beaute, is set to become a central hub for all things related to the town’s independent shopping scene.
