A newly-signed member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid is ready to cut short his summer vacation.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Johnny Cardoso as the player in question.
US international Cardoso’s long-awaited move to Spain’s capital was of course finally made official this week.
Following weeks of negotiations with La Liga rivals Real Betis, Atlético tied up a deal worth a sum in the region of €25 million, plus bonuses.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, Cardoso appears nothing short of desperate to get his career as a Rojiblancos player up and running.
So much so that, as per a report from MD:
‘The footballer, in a gesture that demonstrates how eager he is to begin this new adventure with Atlético, will shorten his vacation time, if nothing goes wrong.’
