Incredibly thin phones are the emerging trend in smartphones. First came the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and then Apple’s iPhone Air. Others want to get in on the game and Motorola seems to be up next.
The firm has officially teased its upcoming ultrathin flagship phone, which it says “combines cutting-edge performance with a design that pushes the limits of sleekness, and is setting a new standard for style, innovation and durability.”
There’s also the tagline ‘The future has an edge’ with graphics showing a thin streak of green metal surrounding a phone with a battery logo. It’s almost certain that this phone is the Moto Edge 70.
As part of the teaser, fans are invited to take part in a game to win a code for an exclusive pre-launch offer valued at over £700. This has four parts, with one per week in the lead up to the 5 November reveal.
Each clue is a multiple choice question which will gradually reveal the specs and features of the new phone.
Spoiler alert…
We’ve done part one and it reveals the new Moto Edge will come with a 4800mAh silicon-carbon battery. That’s significantly larger than the iPhone Air (3149mAh) and Galaxy S25 Edge (3900mAh), neither of which use SiC technology.
Motorola
“No other ultrathin phone gives you this much battery and durability. Built with military-grade features, it keeps going and recharges in minutes. It’s not just another smartphone,” says the site if you get the answer right.
We’ll have to check back on 15, 22, and 29 October for the other three parts.
According to rumours, it will be under 6mm thin with a 50Mp main camera and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
