DAYTONA BEACH — NASCAR started Saturday with a rain delay.
A morning shower doused Daytona International Speedway ahead of 10 a.m. Xfinity Series qualifying. The rain stopped before 10, though, and qualifying will begin as soon as the track is dry. The 200-mile ARCA race and the United Rentals 300 Xfinity race were scheduled for noon and 5 p.m., respectively.
Will the weather be a lingering problem today?
The National Weather Service forecast lists a 20% chance of precipitation prior to 2 p.m. After that, sunshine. As of 10:30 a.m., the temperature rests in the mid-70s.
