ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) – Saturday night, Modern Drift Boutique held its 3rd annual Ladies Night Holiday Fashion Show.
“As a young small business owner, it is also really cool to watch your dream come to life like this,” said Modern Drift Boutique Owner Savannah Sevegney. “Putting something as big as a fashion show together is a really great opportunity and it’s just– it’s so much fun for everyone.”
The Mather in Ishpeming was transformed into a runway, complete with candy cane lights, for a Hallmark Christmas-themed show.
“We’ve got 27 different outfits walking tonight and we’ve got local models from the Marquette County area,” said Sevegney.
The event was emceed by TV6’s Tia Trudgeon.
“Erin is the sophisticated Hallmark lead who thought she was too busy for Christmas, until this outfit, and probably a handsome lumberjack, softened her soul,” said Trudgeon.
A ticket to the show also got these ladies drinks, bites, and raffle tickets with a portion of the proceeds going to Toys for Tots.
“I’ve actually worked with them since high school,” said Sevegney. “I used to go to their shipping center and help them pack toys, so it’s really cool that it’s kinda of gone full circle for me personally, and just an opportunity to help them and get everybody in that Christmas spirit is just a wonderful time of year too.”
The ladies had fun, and the kids will have theirs too.
On this night, the best way to spread Christmas cheer was showing out for all you hold dear.
