Michelin Guide Hong Kong adds nine new dining venues to its list

Ahead of the 17th edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau restaurant selection in March, nine new dining venues have been added to the recommendations list. The Michelin Guide Hong Kong has been adding new eateries to the list every month since August 2024, and the February 2025 update sees everyone’s favourite Ankôma, the opulent British eatery Magistracy Dining Room and more join the club.

All the new venues will feature on the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau websites,  highlighted with the ‘New’ symbol for easy recognition. Keep reading to know which restaurants made the cut.

Melding Japanese flavours with European techniques, first on the list is Ankôma. The highlights of its 10-course season-driven menu are Wagyu sandwich, caviar with blinis, and truffle fries. Then comes Art & Taste, a must-visit for well-made Taiwanese classics and small bites. Thai Pai Dong, another marvel tucked away in Jordan offering Thai dishes also makes the cut.

Next up is Chef Hung’s brainchild, Hung’s Delicacies. While Chiuchow cuisine, especially marinated meat and offal is the main deal, do try Hung’s signature fried rice for that gastronomical supremacy. On the other hand, Jee offers a never-before-seen take on local flavours using modern techniques, with their Cantonese classics always hitting the spot.

A former court-turned-restaurant, Magistracy Dining Room, brings London’s best culinary experience to Hong Kong. From roast beef to dressed crab and soufflé Arnold Bennett, treat your taste buds to this palette. Joining the list is Banana Boy, treating Hongkongers’ sweet tooth with its à la minute banana roti since 2019. Its reopening in 2024 with an updated menu has put it back on the map. Two other dessert spots on the list are Heartwarming (Prince Edward) and Snack Baby, known for their sweet black sesame soup, ice cream, pudding and gelato respectively.

So, which of these are your favourite hangout spots?
