Meet Wisconsin’s latest Student of the Week

The results are in for the Oct. 25 Wisconsin Student of the Week.

Readers chose between two high school seniors, Dajea Williams of Messmer High School and Josselin Becerra of Sheboygan South High School. Both are known for their strong work ethic and excellent academics.

Williams won this week’s Student of the Week poll in a landslide.

If there’s one attribute that defines Williams, it’s her ambition, said Messmer High School counselor Melissa Hoeppner.

Student of the Week is not the only honor Williams recently brought in. Hoeppner, who nominated Williams for Student of the Week, said Williams was the first student at the school to become CNA certified this school year. That’s a huge accomplishment in itself, and even more so considering Williams did this while taking a full course load in high school. She maintained over a 3.0 GPA.
