The fast-food chain will be introducing the Sausage Sandwich nationwide from Wednesday, September 10, following a hugely successful trial across the North of England.
The latest McDonald’s addition is described as a hearty pork sausage patty, sourced from RSPCA assured farms, nestled in a soft, fluffy bun, optionally topped with melted cheddar cheese.
Customers can also choose to add ketchup or brown sauce for a personalised twist on their Sausage Sandwich.

It will be just one of the McDonald’s breakfast items landing on the saver menu later this week (for the first time ever), and will be available from £1.99 or as a bundle deal with a selected drink for £2.99.
