Luxury fashion and skincare pop-up coming to Newport this month

Sandee Saunders is bringing a touch of luxury to Newport with an exclusive three-day pop-up event showcasing high-end fashion and Swiss skincare later this month.

The Creative Director of SandeeGLAM CONCEPTS, who also serves as Brand Ambassador and Business Manager for Bellefontaine Switzerland, is partnering with celebrated fashion designers Michael and Alex Toccin of the TOCCIN brand for the special collaboration.

The event will feature an immersive trunk show highlighting TOCCIN’s Summer 2025 Collection alongside mini-facials powered by Bellefontaine Switzerland’s innovative skincare products.

“I am thrilled to bring this unique luxury experience to Newport, a place that holds so many cherished memories for me,” Saunders said. “This collaboration allows us to offer something truly special to the community, while also supporting the incredible work of the Newport Artist Collective, which is so vital for our local creative talent.”

The festivities kick off Monday, July 28, with an opening reception and trunk show pop-up from noon to 5 p.m. at the 1639 Event Space at Newport Harbor Island Resort. The event continues Tuesday, July 29, at the same location from noon to 6 p.m.

The grand finale takes place Wednesday, July 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at CUSP Gallery on Thames Street, marking a shift to the heart of downtown Newport for the closing celebration.

Adding a community focus to the luxury experience, 10% of all event proceeds will benefit the Newport Artist Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local creative talent. Asia Gonzalez-Dent, a Board Member of the Newport Artist Collective, will co-host the event.

The collaboration brings together Swiss elegance and New York flair, offering Newport residents and visitors an opportunity to experience premium fashion and skincare while supporting the local arts community.

Special thanks go to Susan Earabino, Director of Catering at Newport Harbor Island Resort, Curtis Speer, Artist/Owner of CUSP Gallery and Chairman of the Board of the Newport Artist Collective, and Tyler Martin, Co-Owner of CUSP Gallery and Board Member of the Newport Artist Collective.

The council also addressed several traffic safety initiatives during the meeting.
