MANKATO — Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota has received a $5,000 grant from the Mankato Clinic Foundation to support nutritious meals for older adults through the LSS Meals service in Mankato, a news release said.

Lutheran Social Service provides meals in 39 counties statewide through community dining centers, diner’s clubs and home delivery with help from volunteers who offer a personal safety check for older adults that may not be able to leave their home.

LSS also offers a Meals to Go option that ships nutritious frozen meals to anyone in Minnesota.

The Mankato Clinic Foundation provides grants every quarter to organizations and initiatives that promote and improve community health and wellness in the communities the clinic serves.
