Kylie Kelce Loves This 2-Ingredient Snack

Kylie Kelce Loves This 2-Ingredient Snack

Key Takeaways

  • On her podcast, Kylie Kelce revealed her go-to snack combination: apples and cheese.
  • She loves pairing sweet and salty foods, including soft pretzels with water ice.
  • Her favorite Philly specialty (besides a cheesesteak) is Stock’s pound cake.

We can always count on Kylie Kelce to keep it real on her podcast, fittingly named Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce. And in her most recent episode, the Duchess of Delco shared some of her favorite food combos. This naturally includes some Philadelphia food staples that we can get behind.

When asked what her favorite weird food combination is, Kelce admits that she keeps it “standard.”

“I would say maybe the weirdest one I do on a semi-regular basis is apples and cheese,” she says. “It’s sweet and salty. It’s like your own cheese board.”

Apples and cheese is a nutritious snack that will definitely keep you satisfied in-between meals. With fiber-packed, hydrating apples paired with protein-packed cheese, Kelce’s go-to plate is both healthy and delicious.

As for her favorite Philly staples, Kelce shares a pairing that even I, a Philly-born food writer, has overlooked.

“You’re supposed to have soft pretzels with water ice,” she states, noting the sweet and salty mix elevates both foods.

But even this stellar combo is no match for her favorite Philly classic: a cheesesteak. In a previous interview with EatingWell, Kelce shared that her cheesesteak order is “extra American cheese [and] fried onions” from D’Alessandro’s Steaks. The local food that takes second place is an irresistible slice of pound cake from a local bakery.

“We will regularly still go to Stock’s Bakery for pound cake,” she shares. “If you don’t know about Stock’s, you should.” I can confirm that this pound cake is worth the trip to Philadelphia, wherever you are—but there’s also nothing like homemade pound cake, including our highly-rated Lemon-Raspberry Ricotta Pound Cake recipe.

I may need to go on a Kylie Kelce-approved food tour in Philadelphia to try all of her favorite treats—while packing some apples and cheese for the road. And Kylie, if you’re reading this, you’re invited to come along!
