Kimpton launches biggest-ever hotel in Hong Kong: Travel Weekly Asia

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has opened its first property in Hong Kong with the launch of Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, the brand’s largest hotel worldwide.

Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, the 495-room property is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, offering views of Victoria Harbour from all guestrooms and public spaces.

The hotel features a diverse room selection, including the Kimpton Harbour Suite with Balcony, and a dedicated pet-friendly floor. Rooms are equipped with Japanese Lemnos clocks, Tivoli Bluetooth speakers, Loveramics porcelain cups, and premium bath amenities from South Korean brand NONFICTION.

Dining concepts include Birdsong, a third-wave coffee lounge that doubles as a bar during Kimpton’s daily Social Hour, and Hillside, a 180-seat dining space offering an international breakfast buffet and a “third culture kitchen” by night. Later this year, two-Michelin-starred Chef Vicky Lau will debut JĪJĀ, showcasing Southwestern Chinese cuisine.

The property also introduces Swim Club, a rooftop bar inspired by Southern California and the Mediterranean, and High Dive, an eight-seat speakeasy led by Director of Bars Ram Yadav. Yadav noted: “My philosophy is that hospitality transcends the glass.”

Wellness facilities include a 20-metre heated rooftop pool, a HYROX-affiliated 24-hour fitness centre – the first of its kind in Hong Kong – and in-room lululemon yoga mats. A full-service spa is planned for 2026.

Mike Robinson, general manager, commented: “We are thrilled to launch Kimpton’s largest global property in scale in this incredible city.”
