K-drama Law and the City: Plot, cast and other details
Law and the City is a character-driven ensemble drama set in Seoul’s Seocho Judicial Town, following five young lawyers as they confront moral dilemmas, personal struggles, and the pressures of life in a high-powered legal world. Think of it as a cosy, but still chaotic, exploration of the clash between ambition and empathy, the loneliness of adulthood, and the quiet strength of friendship found in unexpected places.
The main cast features Lee Jong-suk as senior associate Ahn Ju-hyeong and Moon Ga-young as junior lawyer Kang Hee-ji. Joining them are Kang You-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Im Seong-jae as Jo Chang-won, Bae Moon-jung, and Kang Sang-ki. Together, the five are nicknamed the “Associate Lawyers Avengers” for their close bond and shared challenges at Seocho-dong Law Town.
The tvN original series Law and the City is airing with a 16-episode run, releasing weekly every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM (KST), and streaming globally via Disney+ (in select regions), Rakuten Viki (in over 140 countries), as well as on South Korea’s TVING, Japan’s U-NEXT, and Taiwan’s FarEasTone friDay Video.
