Jingtian & Gongcheng has added partner Benjamin Choi to the Hong Kong branch to boost its IP business in Asia.
With 25 years of legal experience, Choi has become well-versed in the entire trademark application process across Hong Kong, the mainland and internationally. He specialises in handling IP litigation and conducting due diligence for IP asset mergers and acquisitions. His expertise includes brand development, copyright registration and trademark portfolio management.
Choi was the former president of the Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners and now serves as the treasurer.
Choi was a partner at Mayer Brown and Deacons until 2020, when he moved to Oldham, Li & Nie as a consultant. He became the managing director of the firm’s IP company in the following year.
