While the celebrity dating app Raya is home to several high-profile names, including personalities from the entertainment industry, Jennifer Lopez is certainly not one of them. In a recent interview, the singer and actress shared some insight into her love life, revealing why she has never considered signing up for a dating application.
Jennifer Lopez feels she is ‘old-fashioned’ for dating apps
The Kiss of the Spider Woman star recently addressed her opinion on modern dating.
During Jennifer Lopez’s recent appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, the host questioned her about whether she had ever considered creating a profile on the dating app, Raya. She bluntly replied, “No, I don’t want that.” Lopez then provided Stern with a reason behind her absence from such dating platforms, stating, “I don’t know. I’m just old-fashioned, I guess.”
Jennifer Lopez then proceeded to share the lessons her past relationships had taught her. She noted that despite her exes giving her material comfort, they couldn’t give her the love she looked for. The “Dance Again” crooner shared, “What I learned it’s not that I’m not lovable. It’s that they’re not capable, they don’t have it in them. They need to appreciate the little person inside of them. They need to love them.”
Talking about her idea of love, the 56-year-old artist said, “I wanted to share my life with someone. I want someone to be there when I’m having my big, important moments on the red carpet. I want someone to be there when I’m doing whatever, or when we’re going to the store. Whatever it is, I wanted to share that.”
Nevertheless, Lopez stated that despite being publicly open about her relationships, she hasn’t been able to achieve such love in the “past few years.” Instead, she has had the urge to “keep that part so much more quiet” in her life. “The truth is, when you’re in this type of career and you have the type of level of fame that we’re talking about, there is a compromise,” she added.
Most recently, in January 2025, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce, bringing their two-year marriage to a close. It was the second time that the two parted ways, following their broken engagement in 2004. Previously, Lopez was also married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony. She has two children with Anthony.
