- Jennifer Aniston stepped out in New York City on August 6 wearing a LBD with her forever go-to shoe: flip-flops.
- Ahead of The Morning Show’s September 17 return for season four on Apple TV+, Aniston has been in the headlines for her new romance with hypnotherapist Jim Curtis.
- He is “very different from anyone she’s dated before,” a source said.
Jennifer Aniston isn’t afraid to pair a chic LBD with an unexpected shoe—in her case, a favorite: the black flip-flop.
While out in Tribeca on August 6, the actress wore a black slip dress and her go-to shoe—flip-flops. Though a black slip dress is typically regarded with a bit of formality, the simple, ‘90s-inspired shoe Aniston wore on Wednesday added a casual flair to the outfit, making it look more effortless and relaxed.

Aniston has been in the news as of late for her budding romance with hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, who joined Aniston for a double date with actor Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka for a three-hour meal in the West Village earlier this week. Last month, the foursome had a double date of a different kind, that time on a yacht in Mallorca, where they were also joined by comedian Amy Schumer.
Multiple sources have confirmed to People that Aniston and Curtis are dating and “having fun,” with one source telling the outlet that, “They’ve been seeing each other for a few months now. They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends.”
Aniston, the insider said, “was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it’s still casual.”

Curtis, an author and life coach who specializes in hypnotherapy, is “very different from anyone she’s dated before”: “She’s been happy on her own, but she’s also open to sharing her life with someone,” they said. “As long as it feels right. Jen’s in a very good place right now—grounded, fulfilled, and very happy.”
This is Aniston’s first public relationship since her 2018 breakup from Justin Theroux, whom she married in 2015. Prior to her marriage to Theroux, Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. To hear Aniston tell it, the last few years have been “a really intensive few years of work,” with the actress telling People, “I’m a bit of a workaholic, so I’m forcing myself to try to take some time to travel and not work.”

One project Aniston has been knee-deep in? The Morning Show, which returns for season four on Apple TV+ on September 17. “The Morning Show is just a beast to film,” she told People. “It is layered, it’s complicated, it’s emotional, it hits on a lot of topics and current events, so let’s just say—it’s not Friends,” she added, referring to the sitcom she starred on from 1994 to 2004.
Both producing and starring in a show “takes a lot out of you,” she continued. “We’re involved in every single aspect of the show, on top of just the performance side, which is a big piece of it.”

Of finding the ever-elusive work-life balance, “It’s so critical, I know, but I’m not good at it,” Aniston said. “Our work is diminishing returns at the end of the day—if you’re just working so much that you don’t have any wonderful life experiences.”
