Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez faces backlash for her revealing outfit at Trump inauguration.
Lauren Sánchez, the fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, raised eyebrows in a white blazer and lace bralette at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. Sánchez, a former journalist, received a rare invitation to Monday’s ceremony.
Due to the freezing weather, the event was relocated indoors, and the limited space in the Capitol rotunda meant that even members of Trump’s incoming administration were unable to bring their spouses. Several governors, including Ron DeSantis of Florida and Brian Kemp of Georgia were directed to an overflow room to view the ceremony.
Sánchez appeared with Bezos inside the Capitol Rotunda Monday morning ahead of the official swearing-in ceremony. Standing alongside other tech executives like Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Google’s Sundar Pichai and Tesla’s Elon Musk, Sánchez was spotted wearing a laced bustier underneath a tailored single-breasted white blazer with cross-over lapels from Alexander McQueen.
Social media users slammed Sánchez as being “incredibly inappropriate dressed for a state occasion” and joked that she had been “dressed by Victoria’s Secret for the inauguration.”
“Jeff Bezos’ future wife Lauren Sanchez is incredibly inappropriately dressed for a state occasion. Someone should have told her that having her white lace bra out on display is not acceptable,” wrote X user Brittany Gadoury.

“Lauren Sánchez is wearing a corset bra under her jacket. Wild outfit for the Trump inauguration,” said James Dean.
Other X users also deemed the outfit as “out of place” for a significant occasion like the swearing-in ceremony of a US president.
“Lauren Sánchez’s outfit for the inauguration of the President of the United States is downright appalling. A white suit paired with a lingerie overload lace bodysuit is not only inappropriate but outright disrespectful for such a monumental and historically significant event,” read a comment on X.
Bezos, who is currently ranked the second richest man in the world behind Elon Musk — also in attendance — donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund. Amazon is also streaming the ceremony on Prime Video.
