There’s no doubt Miami is a celebrity hotspot. Countless A-listers flock to the glitzy South Florida city to party, vacation — and buy a multi-million dollar home.
Jeff Bezos, the second-richest person in the world, made waves in the Miami real estate market in 2023 — purchasing a $68 million mansion on Indian Creek Island, known as “Billionaire Bunker.” The Amazon founder, who grew up in the 305, soon bought up two neighboring properties on the land, bringing up the cost of his full purchase to a total of $237 million.
Joining Bezos in the lavish Miami real estate market are David and Victoria Beckham, who opted to purchase their $80 million mansion on the Miami Beach waterfront. The couple, who wed in 1999 and share four kids, bought their sweeping estate in 2024 — a purchase that puts the soccer icon in close proximity to the Inter Miami CF soccer team, which he co-owns.
While the Beckhams’ property features everything from nine bedrooms to a spa, the Manchester United legend isn’t the only soccer star with his eyes on the Magic City. Brazilian soccer great Neymar acquired a $26 million waterfront property in Bal Harbour in 2024.
Meanwhile, it’s those in the luxury real estate business — like venture capitalist Amit Raizada — who are the brains behind such lavish estates. Raizada, who is the CEO of private equity firm Spectrum Business Ventures Inc., has left a significant mark on Miami’s multi-million dollar housing market by developing and selling luxury properties all across Miami Beach. (In December 2024, Raizada listed a Venetian Islands waterfront mansion for $20.95 million.)
Looking to expand his reach beyond real estate, Raizada is reinvesting not only in homes, but also in startups in the area, and his philanthropic efforts in Miami reverberate throughout the community.
