15th March 2025 – (Hong Kong) The winners of the highly anticipated plant exhibit competition, a key highlight of the Hong Kong Flower Show, were announced today. The awards ceremony celebrated the best exhibits in the Open Competition Section and the Jockey Club School Section, with each winner receiving a coveted Hong Kong Flower Show Award.

Jason Yau claimed victory in the Open Competition Section with an exceptional bonsai exhibit, while students from SPHRC Kung Yik She Secondary School triumphed in the School Section with three outstanding hanging basket displays.
In the garden plot competitions, Yuen Long District emerged as the winner in the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) Western Style Garden Plot category, while Tsuen Wan District secured the top prize in the LCSD Oriental Style Garden Plot category.
Held at Victoria Park, the flower show runs daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until March 23. This year’s theme, “Ablaze with Glory,” features cosmos as the theme flower. The event showcases approximately 400,000 blooms, including 40,000 cosmos, and involves the participation of over 230 organisations.
Visitors can enjoy a wide array of educational and recreational activities suitable for all ages. The central lawn offers family-friendly programmes such as balloon-twisting, magic shows, a bouncy slide, the Jockey Club Community Green Playground, and green activity workshops. Newly introduced busking performances add to the lively atmosphere.
Highlights also include the “A Giant Teapot in a Lilliputian World” indoor garden, a pop-up library, floral art demonstrations, and live music performances at the floral marquee.
