Hulu App will be removed in 2026 but content will still be available on Disney+ available

Changes are coming to the Hulu app.

Disney recently announced that the Hulu app will be integrated into Disney+’s app next year. The Disney+ app has already integrated some popular Hulu shows like Futurama, Abbott Elementary, and Grey’s Anatomy onto its platform.

These shows are currently available to watch on the Disney+ application, as long as the user owns a Disney+ and Hulu account. Disney currently offers a bundle for both services for $10.99 per month.

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston spoke highly of the merger, saying, “This will create an impressive package of entertainment, pairing the highest-caliber brands and franchises, great general entertainment, family programming, news, and industry-leading live sports content in a single app.”

The changeover will take place in 2026.

According to Disney, the merger will increase profitability and subscriptions to the platform, boosted by highly anticipated Marvel movies scheduled for release in 2026.
