The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch has been announced, and it’s quite the premium package.
Huawei leads off with the fact that its follow-up to the Huawei Watch Ultimate is “the industry’s first smartwatch to support underwater sonar-based communication”.
You read that right. Not only is the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 the first smart watch to support 150-metre dives, it also allows the user to send preset messages and emoticons to other watches within 30 metres using sonar. The system also enables you to send out an SOS up to 60 metres.
Back on dry land, the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2’s enhanced antenna system is said to boost signal indoors, while the company’s Sunflower Positioning System gains the benefits of dual-band five-system positioning for pinpoint navigation.
Built in eSIM compatibility means that you can make calls from the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 without connecting up a smartphone.
