Hong Kong’s Nicholas Tse to put on 2 Kai Tak concerts soon after Coldplay

Cantopop star and actor Nicholas Tse Ting-fung is set to be the first Hong Kong musician to hold a solo concert at a new 50,000-seat stadium in the soon-to-open Kai Tak Sports Park, with tickets for the April shows priced at up to HK$1,380.

Tse announced his “Evolution Nic Live” shows on social media on Wednesday in a video of himself playing guitar at the stadium. The concerts will take place at Kai Tak Stadium on April 25 and 26 at 7.30pm, with ticket prices starting at HK$680.

He will also be the first Chinese singer to hold concerts at the venue, playing just weeks after British rock band Coldplay performs there on April 8, 9, 11 and 12.
Taiwan’s “King of Mandopop” Jay Chou is also set to perform at the stadium for three consecutive nights from June 27 to 29.
