Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2025 Accelerates Tourism
The HKTB focused its efforts on targeting high-spending tourists, particularly from nine key markets across Asia, including Mainland China, India, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and The Philippines. The initiative sought to engage key stakeholders and travel agents to boost Hong Kong’s image as a world-class gastronomic hub.
Among the event’s highlights, an exclusive sommelier wine-pairing private tour was arranged, giving participants the chance to explore Hong Kong’s exquisite wine offerings. In addition, an annual top agent award gala dinner celebrated the efforts of key travel agents in promoting Hong Kong’s appeal. These efforts are designed to reinforce the city’s growing reputation as both a destination for business events and a place to indulge in gourmet experiences.
Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2025 Reaches New Heights With Incentive Tourism
In line with the festival’s theme, the HKTB also launched the “Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0: New Discovery Product Update” on October 24, adding to the already popular initial version. This updated guide, unveiled at the Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, introduces over 200 fresh experiences, designed to entice MICE tourists with engaging and immersive activities.
Among the newly added experiences are fencing workshops, billiard masterclasses, and unique tours of iconic movie sets and traditional Chinese temples. These activities are set against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s vibrant cityscape and rich cultural history, providing MICE travelers with a diverse range of experiences. The updated playbook also introduces two exciting new themes — Cruise and Empowerment — designed to offer unique team-building activities, as well as personal development opportunities, both on land and at sea.
Hong Kong’s iconic Victoria Harbour continues to serve as an ideal setting for these new experiences, blending team-building thrills with personal enrichment to offer unforgettable moments.
MICE Tourism Meets Culinary Excellence in Gala Dinner
As part of the festival’s celebration, the HKTB invited over 80 top-tier travel agents from short-haul markets such as Mainland China, India, and South Korea to participate in an exclusive familiarisation trip, running from October 22 to 27. This provided agents with the opportunity to experience the latest tourism offerings in Hong Kong, while also enjoying the city’s renowned gastronomic scene.
The highlight of the familiarisation trip was the prestigious “Toast to Success: Hong Kong Top Travel Agents Celebration & Gala Dinner”, which was held to celebrate the achievements of the agents in promoting Hong Kong as a top destination for MICE tourism. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous Cantonese dinner prepared by five of Hong Kong’s top chefs, showcasing the finest of local and international culinary delights. This high-end culinary experience helped cement Hong Kong’s reputation as a world-class destination for food lovers.
In addition to the gala dinner, Jennifer Ma, Executive President of Grand China MICE Holdings Co. Ltd., noted that corporate groups from Mainland China place a particular emphasis on food when planning incentive travel. The festival’s unique format, combining local food experiences with cultural immersion, appeals to Chinese companies seeking a balance between business and leisure travel.
The newly upgraded Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0, combined with the familiarisation trip, also showcased new tourism resources that can assist Chinese Mainland enterprises in planning future MICE travel activities. With its wide range of experiences and event venues, the playbook is set to provide valuable insights for companies seeking to enrich their travel itineraries.
