However, a cold front is expected to sweep across Guangdong tomorrow, bringing with it the first significant rainfall and thunderstorms of the year.
This morning, Hong Kong experienced considerable fog, with visibility at places like Waglan Island dropping below 500 metres. The day has been marked by a warm atmosphere, with temperatures rising to around 27 degrees Celsius. Despite the inviting daytime warmth, the presence of humidity has made the air feel heavier, contributing to the foggy conditions that are typical during this transitional period of early spring.
The anticipated cold front is expected to introduce instability into the weather patterns. As this front moves across the coastal regions, it will trigger more pronounced weather changes, including showers and thunderstorms. The forecasts indicate that while some areas may experience rainfall as early as Monday evening, the most significant activity is likely to occur on Tuesday, when the likelihood of thunderstorms is at its highest.
