Hong Kong police are investigating the discovery of a headless, dismembered body in the city’s upscale Mid-Levels neighbourhood during a severe rainstorm.
The force said that it received a report at 7.05am on Tuesday from a passerby who claimed to have spotted a “human-shaped object” near 45 Kennedy Road.
The body, found under a tree, was missing its head and one leg.
Officers later discovered the leg across the road outside St Francis’ Canossian College and partially closed off parts of Kennedy Road to look for the head.
Police did not reveal the gender of the deceased, saying investigations were under way amid heavy showers and a black rainstorm warning.
Kennedy Road is home to luxury residential complexes and colonial-era apartments.
