A 35-year-old man has died in hospital after a suspected assault in Tuen Mun, with Hong Kong police investigating the case as a possible murder, the Post has learned.
Police said they had received a call early on Sunday from the man’s father, who reported that his son had collapsed at home at Yau Oi Estate in Tuen Mun.
The police force said the man was subsequently taken to Tuen Mun Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
While the cause of death had yet to be confirmed, an arrest had been made and the force was investigating the case in the direction of a murder, a source said.
The insider said the man was believed to have been assaulted in Tuen Mun on Sunday.
