The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) of South Korea and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) have announced the creation of a Unified Korea Pavilion at the event, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from August 14 to 16, 2025. With participation from forty-three Korean food companies and local governments, this pavilion will bring Korean culinary traditions, as well as contemporary K-Food products, to one of Asia’s leading culinary capitals. This strategic initiative is expected to greatly impact tourism and cultural exchange between Korea and Hong Kong, as well as across the Greater China region.

Showcasing K-Food’s Health and “Swicy” Flavors

The Korea Pavilion at the Hong Kong Food Expo will highlight the unique “swicy” (sweet + spicy) flavors of Korean cuisine, focusing on health-conscious products. Renowned chef Choi Jun-woo, honorary ambassador for Korean beef in Hong Kong, will host a live cooking session showcasing eleven K-Food dishes, including Korean beef patties (tteokgalbi), tuna mayo gimbap, and rose tteokbokki. These live demonstrations will offer a rich, immersive experience for attendees, allowing them to explore the diverse flavors and textures of Korean cuisine.
