Gov. Kathy Hochul vetoed a bill that would’ve required delivery apps to show whether online grocery prices match in-store ones, according to State of Politics.
Apps like Instacart and DoorDash called the bill unworkable, and Hochul agreed, saying real-time price syncing would be too costly and complex. She warned it could raise grocery prices even more for consumers.
The bill had already been heavily amended to get through the Legislature.
