Hong Kong–based low-fare airline, HK Express Airways, has taken delivery of its 10th Airbus A321neo, which it will use to increase capacity on its existing routes across Asia.
Jeanette Mao, Chief Executive Officer, said the expansion of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) was a major deciding factor in the ongoing expansion of its fleet.

We will continue to expand our fleet, introduce new routes, and enhance our Asian flight network, providing more affordable and reliable flight options while reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as the region’s leading international aviation hub.”
The Three-Runway System, or 3RS, is a major HKIA expansion project which, through the addition of an extra runway, will significantly increase its capacity.
With the addition of the new aircraft, HK Express now operates a fleet of 39 aircraft, including six A320ceos, 10 A320neos, 13 A321ceos and 10 A321neos. The average age of the fleet is 7.3 years.
