Natural beauty of Zhangjiajie and Gulin
Zhangjiajie, in the northwestern part of Hunan Province, is home to a stunning variety of natural features. The Wulingyuan Scene Area, which includes the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, is a major tourist spot in the city. If you’ve seen James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster Avatar, then you’ll find resemblances of Pandora in the national park.
Thrill-seekers should not miss the 430-metre-long Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge over the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. It is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge. Wulingyuan has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1992.
On the other hand, Guilin is located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It boasts incredible natural scenery such as Li River, Longsheng Rice Terrace, Reed Flute Cave, and Elephant Trunk Hill. Other major tourist destinations include Riyue Shuangta (Sun and Moon Pagodas) Cultural Park, Seven Star Scenic Area, Jingjiang Palace, Yangshuo Park, and Big Bayan Tree.
