- Update BD3A.250721.001.E1 rolling out
- No new features added
- Seems to fix fuzzy screen for some users
Google has issued a new update for Android 16 on its Pixel 10 smartphones, and it appears to address an early display bug.
The latest update covers all three of Google’s latest phones: the Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.
It’s a small update alright, amounting to just 31MB in size, and it comes accompanied by the following generic description: “This update fixes critical bugs and improves the performance and stability of your device”.
US network operator Verizon has added a little extra meat to the bone, explaining that software version BD3A.250721.001.E1 addresses “an issue that caused users to experience a fuzzy display”.

Earlier in the month we reported that some Pixel 10 users were experiencing a bug that saw the screen randomly filling with a fuzzy static effect. Judging from Verizon’s language, there’s a chance this is a fix for that issue.
This could very well be a single-issue update, then, aimed at fixing a very specific issue for some users – hence the lack of fanfare from Google. Having checked on my own Google Pixel 10 Pro, I’m not seeing any firmware update as of yet.
Google issued its last big Pixel Drop a little over a week ago. The update brought its shiny Material 3 Expressive UI to older Pixel devices after making its debut on the Pixel 10 range.
In Pixel 10 hardware terms, we’re all eagerly awaiting the belated arrival of the last member of the family on 9 October. The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold didn’t make the launch of the rest of the range, seemingly owing to supply chain issues.
