Goldman Sachs adds Burlington, removes Amgen from Conviction List

Burlington Stores (BURL) and Air Lease (AL) are the latest additions to Goldman Sachs’ US Conviction List, while Amgen (AMGN) and Global-E Online (GLBE) are out. Goldman Sachs Director of Americas Equity Research Steve Kron comes on to talk more about these picks and the selection process for the firm’s conviction list.

“Consumers are in a really good spot to spend. So you think about the off-price retailers — they’re they’re in that sweet spot of consumers that are seeking value right now,” Kron tells Catalysts hosts Seana Smith and Madison Mills. “Also higher income consumers that are looking to trade down for good brands and Burlington’s been executing really well.”

On tech giant Nvidia (NVDA), Kron is seeing the AI revolution entering its “infrastructure build-out stage” while more companies like Salesforce (CRM) are beginning to deploy their artificial intelligence products.
