FRACKVILLE — About 150 years’ worth of clothing styles were modeled on a “runway” Saturday at the borough’s Fun, Food and Fashion show, benefiting Frackville’s upcoming sesquicentennial celebrations.
The event, at First United Methodist Church, showcased original costumes spanning men’s, women’s and children’s fashion styles from 1876 to the present. About 15 residents volunteered as models, donning old outfits stored in the Frackville Museum and strutting down the church hall before a crowd of about 85 people.
Hosted by the museum and the Frackville Sesquicentennial Committee, the show was a fundraiser for the borough’s plans for a 150th anniversary celebration, which will feature a parade on June 27, 2026, along with other events during the week of June 26 to July 4.
More than $1,000 was raised in proceeds, according to Tina Liem, museum volunteer.
