Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen, located on Penllyn Estate in the Vale of Glamorgan, has been named the sixth best farm shop in the UK for 2025.
The list, compiled by meal delivery company HelloFresh, looked at 30 farm shops and ranked them based on TripAdvisor ratings, price range, social media following, and even the likelihood of rain during a visit.
Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen scored 54 out of 100, earning it a spot in the UK’s top 10.
A spokesman for HelloFresh said: “Farm shops are an excellent way to enjoy local, fresh produce, especially in the summer.
“Here at HelloFresh, our recipes are great for making the most out of fresh ingredients while trying new flavours and finding new favourite dishes.”
Topping the list was the well-known Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Oxfordshire, made famous by the TV series Clarkson’s Farm.
The shop, located in Chipping Norton, scored 81 out of 100 and is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Second place went to Macknade Food Hall in Kent with a score of 79, followed by Sky Park Farm in Hampshire with 67.
Other high-ranking shops included Welbeck Farm Shop in Nottinghamshire (58), Artfarm’s Farm Shop in London (55), and Roast Mutton in Cumbria (53).
White House Farm in Norfolk took eighth place with 51 points, while Clodagh Store in West Berkshire and Chatsworth House Farm Shop in Derbyshire tied for ninth with 50 points each.
The research also looked at social media popularity.
Diddly Squat Farm led the way with more than 2.3 million Instagram followers, followed by Chatsworth House Farm Shop with 270,000 and Cowdray Farm Shop & Café with 28,000.
Macknade Food Hall in Kent was praised for its visitor experience, with a 4.3 rating on TripAdvisor and 4.5 on Google.
Sky Park Farm in Hampshire received a full five stars on Facebook and a 4.7 rating on Google.
