A Cathay Pacific flight en route to Hong Kong from Boston Monday morning was forced to return to Logan International Airport after a report of smoke in the cockpit and cabin.
The flight took off from Logan at 2:23 a.m. Monday and landed back at the Boston airport at 3:21 a.m., according to the flight tracking software FlightAware. Engineers are investigating and inspecting the plane following its return to the gate, the airline said in a statement.
No one was injured during the incident.
“Safety guides every decision we make,” the statement reads. “We sincerely [apologize] to the affected customers for the inconvenience.”
