A fashion show scheduled for Saturday and Sunday aims to raise funds for the Bayboro Development Re-entry Program, a nonprofit organization in Pamlico County dedicated to assisting formerly incarcerated individuals as they reintegrate into society. The program, located on Highway 55 in Alliance, provides essential resources such as clothing and support services.

Vennie Himbry, the founder and executive director of the program, emphasized her commitment to advocating for ex-offenders. “We offer counseling; we offer getting their ID; we offer expungement; we offer driver license when they lose their license,” said Himbry. She also makes monthly visits to jail inmates to extend her support.

The fashion show, which will help sustain these vital services, is set to take place on Saturday, September 6th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pamlico County Community College Delamar Center in Grantsboro.

Tickets are $25. Stop by the Bayboro Development Center on Highway 55 in Alliance to purchase one. You can also pay at the door the night of the event.
