Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy go full 'Doge' with new Trump role as meme fest takes over X

As Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Indian-American Vivek Ramaswamy stepped into a new responsibility in Trump’s new administration, they took this chance to ignite meme fest on social media.
On Tuesday, US President-elect Donald Trump appointed Musk and Ramaswamy to lead the department of government efficiency. The department’s abbreviation “DOGE” bears a striking resemblance to the well-known “Doge” meme featuring a Shiba Inu dog.
Seizing the opportunity, both Musk and Ramaswamy shared images on X incorporating the Doge meme to commemorate their recent appointment to the department of government efficiency “DOGE”.
Many X users with the help of AI suggested some eye-catchy logos for Musk and Ramaswamy’s department.

Their posts garnered significant attention from users, with many contributing their own variations of the meme on X, further fuelling the meme fest
Doge, an Internet meme that gained prominence in 2013, features a Shiba Inu dog image with multicoloured Comic Sans text overlays. Whilst the original meme uses a Shiba Inu called Kabosu, other Shiba Inu versions have also gained popularity.
The meme originated from a 2010 photograph of Kabosu, which achieved peak popularity in late 2013 and was recognised as Know Your Meme’s leading meme that year.
The Shiba Inu’s cultural influence in late 2013 extended to the creation of Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency, in December. Various online surveys and media organisations have acknowledged Doge as one of the most significant Internet memes of the 2010s.
