It appears the Branning family is continuing to rebuild as Oscar is reportedly making a comeback to Walford.
However, the character is being recast.
Pierre Moullier is said to be taking over the role of Charlee Hall, who left Albert Square in 2017.

It comes as EastEnders viewers are also awaiting the return of soap legend Max Branning (Oscar’s father), played by Jake Wood, which The Sun recently revealed.
Oscar Branning’s EastEnders return will ‘set the cat amongst the pigeons’
Commenting on Oscar’s arrival, a source told The Sun: “It is an exceptional bout of casting – Pierre looks more like a younger Jake than Jake did himself. It’s uncanny.
“He’s going to bring something new to Oscar and the character will definitely set the cat amongst the pigeons in the Square.”
Over on Reddit, members of the subreddit r/EastEnders have been hoping for Oscar’s arrival in recent weeks.
Someone posted: “Oscar Branning turns 18 this year! I feel like this is the perfect time for him to return.

“I feel like he has great potential as a character. I wonder how he feels about Max? I can remember Tanya not allowing Max to see him because of what he did to Steven so I wonder if they’re estranged. It could be another case of Bradley.
“I feel like there’s a lot for him to do since he’s got family on the square, I would love to see him reunite with Lauren, it would also be nice to see his relationship with Jack, Amy, Ricky and Penny. Will Mitchell is the same age as him so they could develop a friendship. How will he react to finding out about his half sister Annie? How will he feel about Stacey considering Tanya blames her for ruining her family? We never even got to see him grieve Abi.”
This person replied: “It’s the perfect time for him to return. His sister Lauren lives in a house now that’s quite big and he’ll be finishing high school soon. He could easily go live with Lauren and Peter and establish him as a character.”
In response to the original post, another added: “I think that’s a good shout and would make sense. Can’t believe he’s 18.”

Meanwhile, this viewer commented: “Would love for this to happen! I often wonder if he’s ever going to be thrown into the mix, maybe a few cameos from Tanya too.”
A Reddit profile also wrote: “18?????? Omg….!! Yes, he’d be a great character to introduce & a reason for Tanya to return.”
