President Donald Trump has been praised for a voicemail he left to the family of Ozzy Osbourne after his death.

Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, died at the age of 76 in July from cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease. His death came barely two weeks after an emotional farewell concert at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham, England, where he performed in front of more than 40,000 people, in a show that brought together the original members of the band for the first time in 20 years.
The “Prince of Darkness” had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and suffered ongoing health issues after a fall in 2019. Tributes flooded in for Osbourne after his death, as everyone from politicians to musical royalty paid homage to the heavy metal legend.

The Osbourne family, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack, who were made famous in the 2000s thanks to a reality TV show about their lives, have made their return to their podcast The Osbournes Unfiltered for the first time since Ozzy Osbourne died.
In the emotional episode, the family revealed a number of unknown things about the musician’s final year, and that Trump had left them a voicemail after Ozzy death.
“Shall I play the voicemail?” Jack asks, to which Ozzy’s wife Sharon agrees. He then says that he is not saying who it’s from, as “Everyone will know.”
Jack then plays the message, and Trump’s voice can be heard saying, “Hi Sharon, it’s Donald Trump and I just wanted to wish you the best, and the family, Ozzy was amazing, he was an amazing guy, I met him a few times and I want to, he was unique in every way, and talented so I just wanted to wish you the best, and it’s a tough thing. I know how close you were and whatever I can do. Take care of yourself, say hello to the family.”
Jack then says, “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
To this, Sharon replies, “Listen, when it comes to politics, we know. Nobody comes out a winner.”
She goes on to speak about Trump directly and said, “All I know is, a man that I know, I worked with for a month, I spent one month with him, and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant and just, a delight to talk to…he was just a great guy to talk to, and he has always treated me with respect.”
The voicemail from Trump has been met with widespread praise online.
