Following the announcement of a UK Town of Culture competition by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, Crewe will submit a official application to the process.
The UK Town of Culture competition will see several towns competing to win the title with the winning town delivering a year-long programme of cultural events, activities, and projects designed to inspire creativity, celebrate diversity, and strengthen community connections.
This new competition will sit alongside the existing UK City of Culture programme, which has seen significant lasting impacts across the winning cities of Derry/Londonderry, Hull, Coventry and Bradford.
