Crayon Shinchan goes to Hong Kong: Travel Weekly Asia

INCUBASE Studio has launched its latest interactive exhibition, Crayon Shinchan: Space & Time Adventure, at Kai Tak Mall in Hong Kong, running until 31 August 2025. The exhibition, which is part of an Asia tour, marks the city’s first large-scale Crayon Shinchan showcase and the first of its kind at the mall.

Drawing from the Crayon Shinchan manga, anime, and movies, the exhibition features five themed zones and nine exhibition areas, incorporating interactive games and mobile app elements.

Meanwhile, INCUBASE Arena debuted the Delicious in Dungeon Exploration Exhibition in Hong Kong, which includes recreated scenes, photo zones, and a display of art replicas by the manga’s author, Ryoko Kui. The exhibition opened with an appearance by voice actor Asuna Tomari and is the first project under INCUBASE Studio’s new partnership with K11 Concepts Management.

Additional pop-up stores and events include the Twittering Birds Never Fly store, offering art replicas and merchandise, and The Tower of God: The Workshop Battle store with scene and costume displays. The Sweetscape Art Exhibition, featuring the work of 27 Hong Kong illustrators, will be held from 7–15 June.

Beyond Hong Kong, INCUBASE Studio’s regional footprint is growing. In Malaysia, the Cardcaptor Sakura Exhibition: The Enchanted Museum is underway, while One Piece Asia Hunt launched at SplashMania WaterPark. In Thailand, the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition and 100% DORAEMON & FRIENDS Tour are now open in Bangkok.

Other ongoing events include Chainsaw Man Animation Exhibition in Taipei, moving to Seoul in July, and One Piece: The Great Era of Piracy Asia Tour, now in Shanghai and heading to Pingtung, Taiwan on 21 June.

“As a curator, I believe that hosting diverse anime exhibitions not only celebrates the incredible works but also plays a vital role in promoting anime culture,” said Sion Yip, Founder and CEO of INCUBASE Studio.
