Chinese Stocks End Higher After Leaders Pledge More Stimulus

Chinese shares ended higher after China’s policymakers signaled strong policy support, lifting market sentiment.

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.6% to 3422.66. The Shenzhen Composite Index was 0.9% higher at 2075.17 and the ChiNext Price Index added 0.7% to 2264.05.

China’s Politburo on Monday called for a more proactive fiscal policy in 2025 and hinted at more monetary easing next year.
