A celebrity chef from Jackson prepared a special meal for students at Blackburn Middle School.Nick Wallace, a proud Blackburn graduate, paid a visit to the school on Wednesday, where he served up dishes that included cauliflower, roast chicken and cornbread.A 16 WAPT News crew asked Wallace if he would like to expand this type of work to other public schools. He said that’s something he’s always wanted to do.“I tell everybody about Mississippi, so yeah, maybe one day I could be able to create recipes and be involved with what the school system food really looks like,” Wallace said.Wallace has made appearances on several best chefs lists and has been a competitor on shows like “Top Chef” and “Chopped.”
