You will soon be able to fly nonstop to Hong Kong out of SEA Airport.
SEATTLE — Seattleites will soon be able to fly nonstop to Hong Kong when Cathay Pacific expands flights next year.
Nonstop flights between the two cities are expected to begin March 30, 2026. The airline plans five return flights per week. Tickets are expected to go on sale Monday.
There are currently no nonstop flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Hong Kong.
“We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States,” Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said in a statement. “This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India.”
The flight schedule will be as follows, Monday-Thursday and Saturday:
March 30-May 31, 2026 and Sept. 16-Oct. 24 2026:
Hong Kong to Seattle: Departs at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at 10:10 a.m.
Seattle to Hong Kong: Departs at 11:50 a.m. and arrives at 4:45 p.m. the following day.
Hong Kong to Seattle: Departs at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at 10:35 a.m.
Seattle to Hong Kong: Departs at 12:15 p.m. and arrives at 4:45 p.m. the following day.
Flights will operate on an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The direct Seattle-Hong Kong flights are the latest international expansion at SEA Airport. In June, Alaska Airlines announced it would launch nonstop service from Seattle to Rome in 2026. Alaska also added nonstop flights to Tokyo Narita in May and Seoul this month.
The announcement follows Cathay Pacific’s previous expansion in April, which debuted nonstop flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Hong Kong.
