Cathay Pacific launches DFW Airport to Hong Kong direct flights

The airline announced its plans to come to DFW last year.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A new airline has officially launched at DFW Airport with nonstop service to bustling Hong Kong — marking the return of service to the Asian hub from DFW for the first time since 2020.

Cathay Pacific, which is based in Hong Kong, officially launched the nonstop service from DFW to Hong Kong International Airport this week after first announcing the plans last year

Cathay Pacific operates four flights per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) on Airbus A350-1000 planes.

“As a OneWorld carrier, Cathay Pacific offers seamless connections through its HKG hub across Asia—and easy access to American Airlines’ extensive DFW network,” DFW Airport said in a post on social media.

The launch comes as Taiwan-based airline EVA Air announced plans to begin offering nonstop service to Taipei from DFW International Airport Oct. 3.

That route is among several international flights that have recently launched or are taking off soon from DFW.

In December, Fiji Airways began new, nonstop flights between Nadi, Fiji and DFW.
